Happy New Year Fellow Tractor Club Members,
A good number of us gathered at Neil’s place to prepare several pieces of club owned equipment to move over to Kathy’s. A lot of the pieces had saplings grown up in them and were covered with vines. Those who helped included Bill Schmidt, Steve Cox, Dennis Hamblin, Larry Richardson, Kevin Stirewalt, Eddie Griffeth, Joe and Josh Lang, and of course, Neil Mackie. Some Saturday in the near future, we will gather with trucks and trailers to move the equipment over to Kathy’s. As a reminder, we have several pieces of donated equipment in Grand Prairie that we need to move.
We held our board meeting on Wednesday, January 10, at the “Beans & Taters” restaurant in Paradise. We had a lengthy discussion about our club dues. Because our national dues have been raised to $20 per year, and our club funds have a healthy balance, we decided to change our yearly dues to $20 per year. Because our national dues are required to be paid in April, let’s plan to pay our dues by April 1st. We also agreed to have more presentations at our monthly membership meetings.
Our next meeting is scheduled for February 6, 2024 again at Catfish O’Harlies at 7 pm. Steve Cox is going to give a presentation on a tractor topic of some kind. Our next board meeting will be February 15 at Beans & Taters and everyone is invited. Also put on your calendar our next work day is out at Kathy’s. We need to do some work on the thresher and on the Case LA.
