Hello everyone,
Wow, it has been a busy month. We finally got the corn picker from Eddie Griffeth’s and have it remounted on the John Deere A. Several members met at the clubhouse on May 9 and put the corn picker back on. Members were Dennis Hamblin, Eddie and Barry Griffeth, Ommero Yberra, and myself. It was an interesting event. Being we had never installed one, we worked together and managed to pair the two parts into one.
The tractor has a problem with the hydraulic lift system. It may be only low on fluid. We will check that out soon because the lift is not currently lifting the picker.
Also, on one Monday evening, those who met at the clubhouse worked on the corn wagon. We replaced the elevator cable and straightened out the bent frame. Thanks to Bill Schmidt, Gary Rohloff, Kevin Stirewalt, and myself, we are making progress on these projects. If anyone wants to join us to just visit, watch, or help, you’re always welcome to join us.
Remember, our next meeting will be at Dos Chiles in Bridgeport, TX, Thursday, June 4, at 7:00.
We gather about 6:00 to visit and buy our own dinner, and please remember to tip your waitresses well. I hope to see everyone at the meeting.
